  • “Towards CE Marking of ORBIS: A Novel Negative-Pressure Ventilation System for Unmet Orphan Needs”
    View call on EU Funding & Tenders Portal

    This Innovation Action will clinically validate ORBIS, a first-in-class implantable negative-pressure ventilator that mimics natural breathing and dramatically reduces infection, tracheostomy-related complications, and patient–ventilator dyssynchrony. ORBIS targets rare neuromuscular and chest-wall disorders—Duchenne/Becker MD, ALS, MS, and cervical SCI—each qualifying as an orphan indication with major gaps in long-term respiratory care.

    The consortium will deliver:

    • Preclinical & In Silico Validation (ISO 10993, bench testing, digital twin)

    • ISO 14155-compliant, multinational clinical trials in Israel & Bulgaria

    • MDR Annex II/III Technical Documentation and Notified Body alignment

    • AI-driven sensor & control integration, for closed-loop, patient-synchronized breathing

    • Health-economic modeling & early HTA to pave the way for reimbursement

    We are seeking:

    • Thoracic surgical centers experienced in implantable device procedures

    • Clinical trial sites with orphan neuromuscular patient populations

    A mission-driven project focused on developing an information portal for the European Cancer Patient Digital Centre (ECPDC). This initiative supports cancer patients by integrating digital solutions for improved patient engagement, data access, and healthcare delivery through a centralized platform.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-03-13
    This project validates fluid-derived biomarkers for the prediction and prevention of brain disorders, with a focus on autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Through continuous monitoring using wearable sensors across social, behavioral, cognitive, and physiological domains in natural environments, CONTINEAR-ASD aims to enhance daily functioning, personalize treatment, and reduce the burden of ASD.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-03-14
    A project aimed at tackling high-burden, under-researched medical conditions, MAPS-PTSD applies multimodal analytics to stratify and characterize post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), facilitating improved understanding and treatment for affected individuals.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2024-STAYHLTH-01-05. An innovative solution that uses artificial intelligence, digital twins, and multi source data to create personalized digital tools for stroke prevention. PASSIONATE empowers healthcare providers with predictive analytics, offering tailored strategies to prevent strokes before they occur.

  • Israel Innovation Authority
    As part of the Israel Generic Biochip Technology Consortium (IGBTC), this project focuses on the research and development of biochip technology, driving the bio-convergence industry where engineering and life science intersect. These technologies are poised to transform Israeli industry and have global applications in diagnostics and personalized medicine.

EarthWise Grants

  • HORIZON-CL5-2024-D3-02-08. A climate, energy, and mobility project. The SUSTOWINDS project addresses the critical need for sustainable and economical offshore wind farm development, responding to fragmented existing tools that fail to comprehensively integrate ecological, hydrodynamic, noise, and socio-economic factors. This gap leads to inefficient permitting processes, stakeholder conflicts, and inadequate biodiversity protection. SUSTOWINDS offers an innovative, flexible, and modular decision-support platform that consolidates all necessary inputs for robust lifecycle assessments, enabling comprehensive evaluations of environmental impacts while optimizing socio-economic benefits.

  • HORIZON-CL6-2024-FARM2FORK-01-9. This project explores the development of fermented plant-based proteins as innovative dairy replacements, addressing sustainability and health concerns associated with traditional dairy farming.

  • Focused on developing advanced radiation detection technologies for image sensors with 3D stacking, RADIS3D aims to improve the precision of radiation detection for various applications, including medical imaging and environmental monitoring.

DefendFuture Grants

  • HORIZON-CL3-2024-FCT-01
    This project is developing an integrated generative AI tool to prevent and identify criminal activity on the dark web and instant messaging platforms across the European Union. CRIMIDARK leverages advanced intelligence to fight cybercrime and protect public safety by disrupting organized crime networks.

Digital, Industry, and Space

  • VIBE (Valorisation through Intelligent Bridging with Europe) is a Horizon Europe CSA that tackles Europe’s “innovation paradox” — excellent research that too often fails to achieve real-world impact. By applying AI-powered tools, VIBE strengthens knowledge valorisation capacity across the European Research Area, helping researchers, SMEs, and technology transfer offices turn ideas into solutions for society, policy, and the economy. Through inclusive collaboration and strong links with ERA hubs, the project lays the groundwork for a more connected, sustainable, and impact-driven R&I ecosystem in Europe.
